Metropolitan Study of Business Credit in the Retail Industry

Experian Business Information Services has released an update to the Metro Business Pulse, a regional study of business credit health. The report ranks the top five and bottom five performing metropolitan areas.

In the Retail industry, Honolulu, Hawaii topped the Q2 list with a Credit Risk Score of 58.7. Baton Rouge, Louisiana reported the lowest rate of retail bankruptcies while Milwaukee, Wisconsin came in first for average Days Beyond Terms at an impressive 3.36. Salt Lake City-Ogden, Utah came in first for Delinquencies with an average rate of .094%.

According to Experian's most recent Small Business Credit Index Report, Small-business credit quality was supported in Q2 by an acceleration in personal income growth and retail sales, along with steady employment gains.
